Todayβs poem has the most wonderful title, which is sort of (only sort of! at least in tone, if not content) at odds with what follows. We are asked to consider what is, in fact, βthe journey of a lifetimeβ? What kinds of travels do we want to take β out into the world, or into the intimacy of our own relationships? How well do we know one another, and how can we better get to a place of knowing? What should we not βmiss outβ on? This poet plays with geography, form (look at the shape of it! What does it remind you of?), intimacy, sex, breath, lust, love, presence.
