Today we are reading a poem by Ellen Bass. I love how this piece is so, so much about food—and also not at all (like all good food writing?). It’s sensual and precise and full of the pleasures of cooking and feeding and eating and loving. There’s a sense of abundance, generosity, and a little hint of violence.
