Today’s poem, by Louise Erdrich, is the most wonderful note to self. It feels especially true for anyone who is juggling the endless work of running a home and growing an artistic life (hi). The small tasks of the everyday compete with our deeper desires and impulses and drive to make something, and sometimes we need a reminder of what matters most.
